Turmeric Papaya Smoothie

It takes 5 minutes to make this turmeric papaya smoothie. And about 5 more to drink it.

I love smoothies and used to make one every day, but haven’t been drinking them a lot recently. I just prefer to eat fresh fruit.

This Turmeric Papaya Smoothie is great for a light and nutritious breakfast. Look at this color, it screams summer to me.

Turmeric Papaya Smoothie

I used papaya, ripe banana (preferably frozen), almond milk, sweetener and turmeric. It is very easy to make, creamy and super delicious.

I know some people don’t like papaya… That smell… But I actually like it.

Papaya is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and fiber. It is very low in calories, one cup contains just around 40 calories, which makes it the perfect fruit snack for me.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 medium papaya , peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tbsp lemon or lime juice (lime works better)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup ice
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients on a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into two glasses and serve.
